Home Visitation

Home Visitation is a one-on-one experience with in-home family support. 

Home visitation is perfect for families that want to address personal parenting questions or want more exclusive understanding of how to implement parenting techniques with their children.


The Village

“It takes a Village to Raise a Child” ​-Nigerian proverb.

The Village provides services and programs that connect with African American families in a way that is both culturally practical and beneficial. The Village serves the South Sacramento Community through:

  • Parenting classes​
  • Home visitation​
  • Outreach events​
  • Family resources/referrals​

Resource Specialist

Our Intervention Specialist is a community support for when a family finds themselves in a situation of instability, feels overwhelmed, or needs help finding resources to help meet life’s challenges.


Cultural Broker

The Cultural Broker program is a voluntary advocacy program that supports African-American families that are involved in the child welfare system.

Brokers help repair the communication gap between African-American families and the welfare department and work to provide families with the appropriate services for reunification for the families. Cultural Brokers help families successfully navigate the child welfare system with a focus and strong emphasis on the importance of child safety.
